WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
� Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described has
heretofore been zoned as R-1 by the City of Canton, Illinois; and
It further appearing to the said City Council that a public
hearing with no objectors present was held and that the Planning and
Zoning Commission of the City of Canton has re�;ornmended unanimously
that the property be rezoned B-2; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that said property should be rezoned to B-2, General Business
District.
THEREFORE, BE IR ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section l. That the territory described as follows:
The West Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 2 5, Township 7 North, Range 4 East
of the Fourth Principal Meridian, Fulton County, Illinois,
except that part heretofore conveyed to Darren Oaks, beginning
at the Southwest corner of said Northwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter, thence North 459. 4 feet, thence East 200
feet, thence South 468. 5 feet, thence West 200 feet to the
place of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby rezoned to B-2.
Section 2. That proper changes shall be effected upon the
zoning maps of this city by the City Clerk and the City Engineer.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after
a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, and
approval by the Mayor.
