WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Illinois is the owner of territory,
hereinafter described, which is uninhabited and which is contiguous
to said City ; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the best interests of said City and its
citizens that said territory be annexed to said City and dedicated
to the public as a road for use as a right of way of travel,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HERE�Y IS ORDAIlVED BY THE CITY
OF C.ANTON, ILLIlVOIS AS FOLLOWS :
l. That the territory described as follows :
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township
7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian,
F`ulton County, Illinois, more particularly described
as follows :Beginning at a concrete marker on the South
line of said Northwest Quarter and being North 89° 06 '
50" East 439.25 feet from the Southwest corn�r of said
� Northwest Quarter ; thence North 0° 07 ' 55" West a distance
• of 60.0 fee't ; thence North 89° 06 ' 50" East a distance
of 2228.14 feet to the East line of said Northwest Quarter;
' thence South 0° 19' 25" East a distance of 60.0 feet to
the Southeast corner of said Northwest Quarter; thence
South 89° 06 ' 50" West a distance of 2228.34 feet along
the South line o� said Northwest Quarter to the point
of beginning, containing 3.069 acres, more or less,
situated in the County of Fulton in the State of Illinois,
be, and it hereby is, annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
2. That said territory or realty be and it hereby is
dedicated to the public as a road for use as a right of way of
travel.
3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with
an accurate map o� the territory above described, together with the
certificate thereof, shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of
�lton County, Illinois.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after a
two-thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the City Council of the City of
Canton, Ill�nois, and' approval by the Mayor.
' PASSED by a two-thirds "aye" and "n,�o�"�vote of the City
Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this ---�f-�- day of JanuarY,
A.D. 1972.
