A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF
ILLINOIS FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Canton is applying to the State of Illinois for a
Community Development Assistance Program Grant; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that an application be made and agreements entered
into with the State of Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City of Canton apply for a grant under the terms and conditions of the
State of Illinois and shall enter into and agree to the understandings and assurances
contained in said application.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk on behalf of the City execute such documents
and all other documents necessary for the carrying out of said application.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to provide such additional
information as may be required to accomplish the obtaining of such grant.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton,. -Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 15th day of September, 1998, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES• Aldermen Shores, Niay, Nidiffer, Meade, Sarff, Molleck,
• Hartford.
NAYS: None.
