ORDINANCE NO..?'
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter de-
scribed is not within the corporate limits of any mwnici-
pality but is contiguous to the City of Canton, Illinois;
and
It further appearing to the said City Council that
all the electors residing in said territory hereinafter
described and that the equitable owners of option granted
thereunder of all the land within said territory have re-
quested tkkt it be annexed to said City as shown by the
records of this Council.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED "Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A tract of land 478 feet North and South by
455.648 feet Mast by West, located in the
Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter
,)f Section 25, Township 7 North, Range 4
East of the 4th Principal Meridian, the
Southwest corner of said tract being located
439.25 feat Bast and 60 feet North of a
stone at the Southeast corner of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 26, Township 7 North, Range
4 East of the 4th Principal Meridian, Fulton
County, Illinois.
be, and it is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance
together with an accurate map of the territory above de-
acrib,*A shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of
Fulton County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this property shall be zoned R -4.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in effect
from and after a two-thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the
City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor.
PASSED by a two-thirds "aye" and ffno" vote of the
City Council and approved by the Mayor this ,r day
