O R D I N A N C E

No action taken.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is
contiguous to the City of Canton, Illinois; and
It further appearing to the said City Council that all
electors residing in said territory hereinafter described and that
the owners of record of all the land within said territory have
requested that it be annexed to said City as shown by the records
of this Council.
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 28,
Township 7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth
Principal Meridian, situated in the Town of Canton,
in the County of Fulton, State of Illinois, described
as follows: Commencing at a stone in the Southeast
corner of said Southwest Quarter of Section 28, Town
and Range aforesaid, running thence North along the
center line of Township road 132. 0 feet, to the
place of beginning, thence North 89 degrees 05 minutes
West 330.0 feet, thence North 132. 0 feet, thence South
89 degrees 05 minutes East 330. 0 feet, thence South
along the center line of the Township road 132. 0 feet
to the place of beginning, situated in the County of
Fulton and State of Illinois,
be, and it is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance
together with an accurate map of the territory above described
shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County,
Illinois.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from
and after a two- thirds "aye" and "noe" vote of the City Council
of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor.
