WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is
not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous
to the City of Canton, Illinois; and
It further appearing to the said City Council that there
are no electors residing in said territory hereinafter described and
that the owners of record of all the land within said territory have
requested that it be annexed to said City as shown by the records of
this Council.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 38 of
Lincolnshire Extension No. 1, a part of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 22, Township 7 North, Range 4
East of the Fourth Principal Meridian as the point
of beginning, thence North 88° 52' East, a distance
of 305. 54 feet, thence South 0° 16' 10" West, a distance
of 896. 65 feet, thence South 89° 30' 18" West, a
distance of 704. 96 feet to the Southeasterly corner
of Lot 50 in said Lincolnshire Extension No. 1
(the following ten described lines are along the
boundary of said Lincolnshire Extension No. 1 and
existing city limits lines) thence North 00 29' 42"
West, a distance of 140 feet, thence North 890 30'
18" West, a distance of 25 feet, thence North 00 291
42" West, a distance of 190 feet, thence South-89'
30' 18" West, a distance of 85. 43 feet, thence North
10 7' 30" West, a distance of 227. 87 feet, thence
North 880 52' East, a distance of 450. 03 feet, thence
North 430 52' East, a distance of 35. 36 feet, thence
North 10 8' West, a distance of 165 feet, thence North
880 521 East, a distance of 3. 02 feet, thence North
10 8' West, a distance of 140. 0 feet to the point of
beginning, containing 11. 670 acres, except any part
thereof, which has heretofore been conveyed to the
City of Canton, situate lying and being in the County
of Fulton and State of Illinois.

Section 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance together
with an accurate map of the territory above described shall be recorded
with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from
and after a two - thirds "aye" and "noe" vote of the City Council
of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor.
