ORDINANCE NO. r
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Chapter
Revised Ordinances of the City
read as follows:
"6. To partially defra�

in the following instances and amounts:
In instances of new construction of a principal building having
1000 square feet or less of floor area a fee of $10.00 shall be
charged; in instances of new construction of a principal building
having in excess of 1000 square feet of floor area a fee of
$10.00 plus $1.00 for each 100 square feet of floor area, or
fraction thereof, in excess of 1000 square feet of floor area
shall be charged.
In instances of new construction of a building not a principal
building having 1000 square feet or less of floor area a fee of
$3.00 shall be charged; in instances of new construction of a
building not a principal building in excess of 1000 square feet
of floor area a fee of $3.000 plus $1.00 for each 100 square
feet of floor area, or fraction thereof, in excess of 1000
square feet of floor area shall be charged.
In instances of alteration or remodelling of a principal
building involving an extension or increase of 300 square feet
or less of floor area a fee of $3.00 shall be charged; in
instances of alteration or remodelling of a principal building
involving an extension or increase in excess of 300 square feet
of floor area a fee of $3.00 plus $1.00 for each 100 square
feet of floor area, or fraction thereof, in excess of 300 square
feet of floor area shall be charged.
In instances of alteration or remodelling of a building not
a principal building involving an extension or increase of
floor area a fee of $1.50 shall be charged.
In instances involving the installation of any swimming or
wading pool a fee of $5.00 shall be charged.
In instances involving the installation of any mobile home
or house trailer a fee of $10.00 shall be charged.
In instances involving the wrecking or demolition of any
building a fee of $5.00 shall be charged.
In instances other than the foregoing no fee shall be charged
for the permit contemplated and required by this Section 18."
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 76 of this City be and the same
hereby is, repealed.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be in full force and effect upon
its passage by the City Council and approval of the Mayor.
