HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #413First reading 2/20/73 Laid over ORDINANCE NO BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That a stop sign shall be posted at each of the Southeast and Northwest corners of the intersection of Fourth Avenue and East Elm Street in the City of Canton, Illinois and, whenever a driver of a vehicle shall approach East Elm Street from either direction on Fourth Avenue, he shall bring his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with caution when a safe interval occurs. Section 2. That a stop sign shall be posted at the Northwest corner of the intersection of Keeling Court and West Vine Street in the City of Canton, Illinois and, whenever a driver of a vehicle shall approach West Vine Street from the North on Keeling Court he shall bring his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with caution when a safe interval occurs. Section 3. Any person found guilty of a violation of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in effect ten days after its passage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor and publication according to law.
