ORDINANCE NO. l
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF EAST MAPLE STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That no motor vehicle shall be parked (as
defined by the Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois) on the
South side of East Maple Street in the City of Canton, Illinois
between the West curb line of South Second Avenue to the East curb
line of South Main Street.
SECTION 2. That the proper officials of the City shall
post signs informing persons of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. That any person who shall be convicted of a
violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be
punished by a fine of not less than $5.00 nor more than $200.00.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten
days after its passage by the Council, approval by the Mayor and
publication according to law.
PASSED by the.C.ity Council and approved by the Mayor this
day of A.D. 1973.
