"�p2l BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That each of Sections 1, 3 and 4 of Chapter XXXVIII, of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois 1959 be, and the same is respectively, hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. Mayor.) The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of Five thousand, two hundred dollars ($5,200.00) and the further sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per annum for his services as Liquor Control Commissioner." "Section 3. City Clerk.) The City Clerk shall receive as compensation for his services an annual salary of Eight Thousand. Dollars ($8,000.00)." "Section 4. City Treasurer.) The City Treasurer shall receive an annual salary of Four Thousand dollars ($4,000.00) and such other.compensation as provided by the Statutes of the State of Illinois." Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor but it shall be applicable only with respect to the annual salaries of such elected officials of this City, hereinabove named, as shall take office and enter into each his respective term of office commencing on the 2nd Tuesday of May, 1973. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approved by the Mayor this day of December, A.D. 1972. APPROVED: ATTEST: CITY CLERK.
