WHEREAS, the City of Canton located in the County of Fulton, State of Illinois,
wishes to maintain and operate a sewage force main from Sta. 17+28 t to Sta. 32+50 t,
Rte. 9, which, by law, comes under the jurisdiction and control of the Department of
Transportation of the State of Illinois, and
WHEREAS, a permit from said Department is required before said work can be
legally undertaken by said City of Canton; now
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Canton, County of Fulton, State of
Illinois,
First: That we do hereby request from the Department of Transportation, State of
Illinois, a permit authorizing the City of Canton to proceed with the work herein described.
Second: That we hereby pledge the good faith of the City of Canton and
guarantee that all work shall be performed in accordance with the conditions of the permit
to be granted by the Department of Transportation, State of Illinois, and to hold the State
of Illinois, Department of Transportation harmless, on account of any damage that may
occur to persons or property, during the prosecution of such work, and assume all
liability for damage to persons or property, due to accidents or otherwise, by reason of
the work which is to be performed under the provisions of said permit.
Third: That we hereby state that the proposed work is not to be performed by the
employees of the City of Canton.
Fourth: That the proper officers of the City of Canton are hereby instructed and
authorized to sign said permit in behalf of the City of Canton recognizing that the City of
Canton is responsible for all conditians and terms of same permit as long as the
permitted facilities remain on State of Illinois right-of-way.
I, Nancy Whites, City Clerk, hereby certify the above to be a true copy of the
RESOLUTION passed by the City of Canton, County of Fulton, State of Illinois.
