HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #425 ���f�a . �. .s. y� � .. + ��t � � ° �� � , � � ,r � �. . . . . _ ; , , ORDZNANCE N0. �� AN ORDINANCE AMFNDING AN ORDINANCE (No. 422) IIVTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN BENEFITS FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING MAY, 1973". � BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS : Section l. That subparagraph 1 of subparagraph � I of paragraph b of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 422 be� and the same hereby is� amended ' to read as follows : "1. ADDITIONS TO BASIC WEEKLY SALARY: To the basic weekly salary of the senior patrolman (other than the Sergeant in charge) on each shift shall be added and paid the further weekly sum of $2.00. To the basic weekly salary of each Police Sergeant shall be added and paid the further weekly sum of �17.06. To the basic weekly salary of each full time employee who is a member of the Police Department and subject to the "r'ules and regulations of the Fire and Police Commission of this City shall be added and paid the further weekly sum of �2.00. " Section 2. That subparagraph 1 of subparagraph II of paragraph b of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 422 be, and the same hereby is , amended to read as follows : "l. ADDITIONS TO BASIC WEEKLY SALARY. To the basic weekly salary of the Fire Truck Drivers (who are to be the senior employees on a particular shift� shall be added and paid the further weekly sum Qf $3.00. To the basic weekly salary of each Assistant Fire Chief shall be added and paid the further weekly sum of �17.06. To the basic weekly salary of each full time employee who is a member of the Fire Department and suk�ject to the rules and regulations of the Fire and Police Commission of this City shall be added and paid the further weekly sum of �2.00. " Section 3. That Section 6 of said Ordinance No, 422 be� aid . the same hereby is� amended to read as follows : "Section 6. APPOINTIVE POSITIONS. The following positions or offices shall be filled by appointment of the Mayar� with concurrence of the City Council, and the annual salary to be paid to the appointee for each such position or office (to � be paid in 52 equal weekly installments) shall be as indicated : Three Radio Operators, �7534.47 (each) ; one part time Radio Operator� $1360.53 ; one Radio Operator-File Clerk? �7534.47 ; one Assistant File Clerk, $5884.28; one Care Taker (Police Department) � $1497.69; one City Attorney (part time) � $7362.24; Deputy City Clerk, not to exceed $3500.00; one Secretary to the Mayor, �666�.68; one Maintenance Supervisor� $10�517.21 ; one Buildings Custodian, �6345.66 ; two Meter Maids, $6345.66 (each) ; one Traffic Control Officer� " �8030.96 ; and, one Water Department Cashier, �7922.88. °1 Section 4. That Section 10 of said Ordinance No. 422 be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows : "Section 10. SICK PAY. Each full time employee� official� officer (including persons who work in a full time appointive position)� shall be entitled and shall be paid� during the fiscal year of the employer, a sick pay. The sick pay to be paid by the employer to the person thereto entitled shall be : The regular pay (i.e. basic weekly salary� based on 40 hours actually worked, plus additives) in the case of full time employee � the basic weekly salary of Department Heads ; or� the weekly salary of full time appoi-ntive positions. " Section 5. The provisions hereof shall be retroactive� effective for, (nunc pro tunc) the first Monday in May, 1973.
