(AN ORDINANCE REGULATTNG T��E IiURNING OF FALLF�V LEAVES WITHIIV
THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1. That leaves , having fallen from trees in
the City of Canton, Illinois , during the autumn season, may be
burned on private property within said City, not closer than ls
feet from any adjoining Property line, between dawn and the
hour of 6 :00 p.m. on any day, providing that fires thus occasioned
shall not be permitted to smoulder beyond the hour of 7 :00 p.m.
on any such day.
Section 2. That no person shall burn leaves on or in
any street in said City.
Section 3. Any person found guilty of a violation of
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be punished by a
fine of not less than �5.00 nor more than �200.00.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in effect ten days
after its passa�e by the Council , approval by the Nlayor and
publication according to law.
