� R D I N A N C E N O. �
� �WH�REAS, it• appears to the City Council of the �ity of Canton,
Illinois that the territory hereinafter described is not within the
corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the City of
Canton, Illinois and it further appearing to said City Council that
all of the electors residing in said territory hereinafter described
and that the owners of record of all the land within said territory
have reguested that it be annexed to said city as shown by the records
of this Council.
TH�REFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A part of Lot 9 in Block 1 in Homewood Addition to Canton,
Illinois, described as follows: Commencing at a point 53'�
feet East of t�e Southwest corner of said Lot 9, and run-
ning thence North to the North line of said lot; thence
East 53'� feet, thence South to the South line of said lot,
thence West 53� feet tv the place of Beginning, situated
in the County of Fulton and State of Illinois.
y� be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Fulton Coun-
ty, Illinois.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance together
with an accurate map of territory above described shall be recorded
with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, I1linois.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and
after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, I1-
linois and approval by the Mayor.
PASSED by vote of the City Cancil and approved by the Niayor
