ORDINANCE N0 . 6 ��
WHEREAS it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton , Illinols , that the territory hereinafter described is
within the corporate limits of said municipality, and that the
owner thereof has appeared before the Planning and Zoning Com-
mtssion of said city , requesting that the property hereinafter
described as Tract 1 be re-zoned from R- 1 to R-4 zoning classi -
ficatio� , and that it be granted a Conditional Use Permit for
the construction of a storage and warehouse facility on Tract
2 ; and
WHEREAS said Planning and Zoning Board of the City of
Canton , Illinois , has recommended to the City Council of the
City of Canton , Illinois , that Tract 1 be re-zoned and that a
Conditional Use Permit be granted for Tract 2 , in accordance
with said petition ;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON , ILLINOIS :
SECTION 1 . That the territory described as follows :
TRACT 1
Lot 7 , J . KRISCHKE ADDITION to Canton , Fulton
County , Illinois ; also
A part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 34 , ��
in Township 7 North , Range 4 East of the Fourth
Principal Meridian , in Canton , Fulton County ,
Illinois , described as follows : Commencing at
a point on the South line of West Walnut Street
30 feet South and 408 . 54 feet West of the South-
east corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section
27 in the above township , thence South 159. 75
feet to a stake , thence West 104 . 14 feet to a
stake , thence North 159. 75 feet to the South line
of West Walnut Street , thence East 105 . 8 feet to
the piace of beginning ; also
A part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 34 ,
Township 7 North , Range 4 East of the Fourth
Principal Meridian , being more particularly des-
cribed as follows : Commencing at a stake 6 chains
and 19 links West and 2 chains and 87 1 /2 links
South of the Northeast corner of said Quarter sec-
tion , running thence West 1 chain 49 1 /2 links ,
South 3 chains 67 links , thence along the center
of Lewistown road in a Northeasterly direction 1
chaln and 63 links , thence North 3 chains and 2
links to the place of beginning , containing 1 /2
acre , more or less ,

BE AND IT IS HEREBY RE-ZONED FROM R-1 to R-4
ZONING CLASSIFICATION UNDER THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THIS CITY .
SECTION 2 . That Graham Nospital Association , owner , be gran-
ted a Conditional Use Permit for the construction
of a storage and warehouse facility on real estate
described as follows :
TRACT 2
A part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 34 ,
Township 7 North , Range 4 East of the Fourth Prin-
cipal Meridian , bounded as follows : Beginning at
a point on the North line of the Lewistown road ,
now West Maple Street , as the same was located on
August 13 , 1902 , 50 feet West of the Southwest
corner of the 50-foot by 180-foot tract in said
Quarter Section heretofore conveyed to A. N .
Dobbins by Charles Martin and wife , as set forth
in tnstrument recorded in Book 176 , Page 289 , as
Document 99078 ; thence running North 180 feet ;
thence West 100 feet ; thence South to the said
North line of sald West Maple Street ; thence East
along the North line of said street to the place
of beginning , situated in the City of Canton ,
Fulton County , Illinois ,
SUBJECT to the following restrictions :
A. Decorattve fencing or shrubbery shall be
placed on three sides of the tract , exclud-
ing the West Maple Street side .
B. No general vehicle maintenance will be per-
mitted .
C . Outside storage is prohibited .
D . Any building setback shall be at least equal
to that of adjoining property.
SECTION 3 . That this ordinance shall be in effect from and after
a two-thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the City Council
of the City of Canton , Illinois , and approval by the
Mayor .
PASSED by a two-thirds "aye" and "no" v te of the City Council and
