(AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC Un CLRTAIN P�RTIONS OF SOUTH MAIN,
OLIVE, and rtYRTLE STREETS AND AI�DERSUN PLACE IN THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS. )
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CUUNCIL UI�' TIiE CITY UF CANTON, ILLINOIS :
Section l. That a stop sign shall be placed on the east side of
South Main Street in the City of Canton, Illinois at a point on a line
established by the projection of the south right-of-way-line of
Tamarack Street in said City and whenever the driver of a vehicle pro-
ceeding north on South Main Street shall approach Tamarack Street he
shall bring his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with
caustion when a safe interval occurs .
Section 2. Th�t a stop sign shall be placed on the west side of
South Main Street in the City of Canton, Illinois at a point northerly
of the north right-of-way-line of Tamarack Street as projected and
at the place of the beginning of the curve to theright on South D1ain
Street (said curve as described having reference to south bound traffic
on South Main Street) and whenever the driver of a vehicle proceeding
south on South rlain Street shall approach said curve he shall bring
his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with caution when a
safe interval occurs.
Section 3. That a stoP sign shall be posted at each of the
northeast and southwest corners of the intersection of North 8th
Avenue and Last Olive Street in the City of Canton, Illinois and
whenever the driver of a vehicle proceeding on East Olive Street
shall approach North Sth Avenue from either direction, he shall
bring his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with caution
when a safe interval occurs.
Section 4. That a stop sign shall be posted at each of the
northeast and southwest corners of the intersection of 1V'orth 9th
Avenue and East Ulive Street in the City of Canton, Illinois and
whenever the driver of a vehicle proceeding on East Olive Street
shall appronch North 9th Avenue from either direction, he shall
bring his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with caution
when A�,safe interval occurs.
Section 5. That a stop sign shall be posted at each of the
northeast and southwest corners of the intersection of Anderson Flace
and South 7th Avenue in the City of Canton, Illinois and whenever
the driver of a vehicle proceeding on Anderson Flace shall approach
South ?th Avenue from either direction, he shall bring his vehicle
to a complete stop and then proceed with caution when a safe interval
occurs.
Section 6. That a stop sign shall be posted at each of the
northwest and southeast corners of the intersection of North 6th
Avenue and East Myrtle Street in the City of Canton, Illinois and
whenever the driver of a vehicle proceeding on North 6th Avenue shall
approach East Myrtle Street from either direction, he shall bring
his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with caution when
a safe interval occurs.
Section 7. That the proper authorities of this City place

Section 8. Any person found guilty of a violation of this
