�An Ordinance regulating traffic at the intersection of Eleventh Avenue and
Locust Street; and, on portions of Maple Street, ail in the City of Canton,Ill. )
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COliNCIL OF THE CITY GF CAP�TGN, ILLINOIS:
Section l. That a stop si�n shall be posted at each of the northwest
and southeast corners of the intersection of Locust Street and Eleventh Avenue
in the City of Canton, Ill.inois, and whenever tYie driver of a vehicle proceeding
in either direct�on on Eleventh Averiue shal] approach Locust Street he shall
bring his vehicle to a complete stop and then proceed with caution when a safe
interval occurs.
Section 2. Th�. t no vehicle sh�,7.- Ye parked (as defined by the Ordinances
of the City of Cunton, Il.linois ) for more than 2 hours between the hours of
6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day on the north side of Maple Street in the
City ofCanton, Illinois between the east curb line of Fifth Avenue and the west
side of the alley (as extended) thereto easterly next adjacent.
Section 3. That the proper authorities of this City place appropriate
signs informin� persons of the fore�oing provisions.
Section 4. That any person found �uilty of a viol�tion of this Ordinance
shall be subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars (�5.00) nor more than
Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) .
Section 5• That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, a�,proval
by the Mayor thereof, and publicatien accordin� to la?.
