ORD I NANCE N0 . �F�'S�
WHEREAS , it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton , Illinois , that the territory hereinafter described
is not within the corporate limits of 'any municipality but is
contiguous to the City of Canton , Illinois ; and
WHEREAS it further appears to the said City Council
that no electors reside in said territory hereinafter described ,
and the owners of record of all the land within said territory
have requested that it be annexed to said City , as shown by the
records of this Council ;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON , ILLINOIS :
SECTION 1 . That the territory described as follows :
Pa �t of the Southeast Quarter of Section 10 , Township
7 North , Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian,
being further described as fotlows :
Beginning at an iron pin on the tJesterly right-of-way
of Illinois State Route 78 , said pin atso being South
89°02 ' S9" West 1490 . 04 feet and North 147 . 08 feet
from an existing iron pin at the Southeast corner of
said Southeast Quarter ; thence South 88°59 ' 13" West
•305 . 00 feet to an iron pin ; thence North 1 °00 ' 47"
West 112 . 00 feet to an iron pin ; thence North 89°
27 ' 17" East 326 . 84 feet to an iron pin being on the
said Westerly right-of-way line ; thence Southwest-
erly along an arc of said right-of-way line 111 . 50
feet to the point of beginning , all situated in the
County of Fulton and State of Illinois ,
BE AND IT IS HEREBY ANPJEXED to the City of Canton , Iliinois .
SECTION 2 . That a certified copy of this Ordinance , together with an
accurate map of the territory above described , shall be
recorded with the Recorder of Deeds , Futton County ,
Illinois .
SECTION 3 . That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after a
two- thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the City Council of
the City of Canton , Illinois , andapproval by the Mayor .
PASSED , APPROVED BY THE MAYOR , AND EFFECTIVE MARCH �f��, 1975 .
