IJHEREAS , it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton , Illinois , that the territory hereinafter described
is not �aithin the corporate limits of any municipality but is
contiguous to the City of Canton , Illinois ; and
tJHEREAS , it further appears to the said City Council
that no electors reside in said territory hereinafter described,
and the oti;�ners of record of all the land within said territory
have requestcd tl�at i t be �nnexed to said C i ty , as s!�o�,:ri by the
reco rds of t i; i s C��unc i 1 ;

SECTION 1 . That the territory described as follows :
Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23 ,
Township 7 North , Range 4 East of the Fourth
Principal Meridian , Fulton County , Illinois ,
more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at a� stone in the Southt��est corner
of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28 , Town
and Range aforesaid , thence East 493 . 35 feet,
thence North 324 . 0 feet to the point of be-
ginning ; thence i�orth 1H2 , 0 feet , and thence
11est 145 feet to the point of beginning ,
BE AND IT IS HEREBY ANNEXED TO the City of Canton ,
Illinois .
SECTIOiJ 2 . That a certified copy of this Ordinance , together with
an accurate map of the territory above described , shall
be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds , Fulton County ,
Illinois .
SECTION 3 . Tl�at this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after
a tt�ro- thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the City Council
of the City of Canton , Illinois , and a�proval by the
f1ayor .
