" ORDINANCE OF REZONING �--5 �°� �

� WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
that the real estate hereinafter described has been zoned R-2; and
. �7HEREAS, it further appearing to the City Council that a public
hearing with no objectors present was held before the Planning and Zoning
� Commission for the City of Canton, Illinois; and,
� WHEREAS, it further appearing to the City Council ef the City of
Canton, Illinois that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Canton, Illinois, has recommended that the property hereinafter described
should be rezoned to R-3 for the purpose of erecting on said property a
duplex dwelling;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Q� THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That the aforementioned real estate to be rezoned is
more particularly described as follows:
Lot 3 of Block 5, Smith and Johnson�s Addition to the
City of Canton, �bunty of Fulton and State of Illinois.
That said property be and the same is hereby rezoned from a zoning
configuration of R-2 to a zoning configuration of R-3.
SECTION 2. That the proper changes shall be effected upon the
zoning maps of this City by the City Clerk and the City Engineer,

SECTION 3. That this Ordinance be and the same is hereby in effect ,
from and after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton,
Ill�inois, and upon approval by the Mayor.
PASSED by a ,vote of � "�yes" and � "noes" vote of the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approved by the Mayor of said
