ORDINANCE N0 . 7' .���'�
WHEREAS it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton , Illinois , that the territory hereinafter described is
within the corporate limits of said municipality , and that the
owner and contract purchasers thereof have appeared before the
Planning and Zoning Commission of said city , requesting that
the property hereinafter described be rezoned from R-1 to R-4
zoning classification ; and
WHEREAS said Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of Canton , Illinois , has recommended to the City Council of the
City of Canton , Illinois , that said real estate be rezoned in ac-
cordance with said petition ;
NOId , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON , ILLINOIS :
SECTION 1 . That the real estate described as follows :
Lots 42 , 43 , and 44 in MAPLEHURST HOMES ,
situated in the City of Canton , County of
Fulton and State of Illinois ,
BE AND IT IS HEREBY REZONED FROM R-1 to R-4
zoning classification under the zoning ordin-
ance of this City , subject to approval of the
final plat by the City Engineer.
SECTION 2 . That this ordinance shall be in effect from and
after a two-thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the
City Council of the City of Canton , Illinois , and
approval by the Mayor.
PASSED BY a two-thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the City Council and

AM�NDr1�NT: Motion by Alderman Hurst, seconded by Alderman Rupe that entrances
other than the residence should not exist on North Main St. (Motion carried
14 AYES).
