(AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR STOP SIGNS AT THE INTLRSECTION OF ASH STREET
AND ELEVENTH AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS. )
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That a stop sign shall be placed at each of the Northeast,
Northwest, Southeast and Southwest corners of the intersection of Ash Street
and Eleventh Avenue in the City of Canton, Illinoia and all drivers of motor
vehicles approaching Eleventh ,�venir�� from either the East or West on Ash Street
or vehicles approachin� Ash Street from either the North or South on Ele�nth
Av�nue shall bring their vehicles to a complete stop before entering into
the intersection of said Ash Street and Eleventh Avenue.
Section 2. That the proper officials of this City shall post appropriate
signs informing persons of th3s Ordinance .
Section 3. That any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be punished by a fine of not less than $5.00 nor more than $200.00.
Section 4. That this Ordin�nce sha11 bs in effect ten days after its
passage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor and publication according
to law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and APPROVED
