(AN ORDINANCE MODIryING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CANTON, ILLINOIS POLICE
DEPARTMENT AND PROVIDING FOR THE RANK OF CORPORAL TFiEREIN.)
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
as follows:
Section l. That section 6-1-1 (DEPARTMENT CREATED; MEMBERS) ,
of Chapter 1 (POLICE DEPARTNIENT) ; of Title 6 (POLICE) of t� Canton Municipal
Code be, and the same hereby is amended to read as follows, to-wit:
"6-1-1: DEPARTP�IENT CREATED; MEMBERS: There is hereby established
an executive department of the City �overnment, which shall be
known as the "Police Department", and which shall consist of one
Chief of Police, three (3) police Ser�eants, three (3) police

f ile clerk.'% and one part time radio operator"
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and APPROVED
