�N ORDINANCE ���' �
Annexing Property of the Marie Es�tes Estate
and Russell Mosl�er to the City of Canton,
Illinois.
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City
of Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but
is contiguous to the City of Canton, Illinois; and,
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the
property is located in an area which is well suited for
business purposes and therefore should be annexed as a B-2
zoning configuration; and,
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the
premises hereinafter described is owned by the Estate of
Marie Estes and Russell Moshrer and that no electors reside
therein and that all owners of the hereinafter described
property have joined in the petition to annex said property
to the City of Canton, Illinois, as shown by the records of
this Council; and,
IT FURTHER APPEARING that proper notices have been
given to the Canton Community Fire Protection District in
accordance with the Statute thereon;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS :

Section l. That the territory described as follows:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 28,
Township 7 North of the Base Line, Range 4 East of
the Fourth Principal N!�ridian, Fulton County, Illinois,
more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the said
Southwest Quarter of Section 2a, marked by a drill
hole; thence South 0° 55 ' 00" West, 914 . 83 ieet
along the East line of said Southwest Quarter; thence
North 89° 05 ' 00" West, 520. 0 feet to a point;
thence North 0° 55 ' 00" East, 410. 80 feet to the point
of beginning of the tract to be described;
from said point of beginning thence North 39° 05 ' 00"
West, 80 feet to a point; thence North 00° 55 ' 00"
East, 321. 09 feet to the South R-O-W Line of Illinois
State Route 9; thence Southeast along the said South
R-O-W Line of Illinois State Route 9 82. 74 feet,
said right-of-way being an arc of a curve whose center
bears Southerly 3, 224. 04 feet and the chord of said
arc bears S. 72° 2s ' 02" East, 82. 73 feet to a
point on said R-O-[a line; thence South 0° 55 ' 00"
West, 300. 0 feet to the point of beginning containing
. 571 acres, more or less, situated in the County of
Fulton and State of Illinois.
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Canton,
Illinois.
Section 2. That this property shall be annexed and
zoned as B-2, General Business.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance,
together with an accurate map of the territory described
herein shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of
Fulton County, Illinois.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after a majority vote of the City Council
of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor
thereo�.
