ORDINANCE N0. 567.
(AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF LANDS WITHIN THE CITY OF CANTON,ILLINOIS)
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois has
heretofore appointed a Z:oning Commission charged with the duty of proposing
and recommending a Zoning Ordinance involving all of the territory within said
City; and,
y,THEgEAS, aaid Zoning Commission, having completed its work in the premises,
by its transmittal letter of Augnst 19, 1976, recommended unto said Corporate
Authorities a Zoning Ordinance and map for this City; and�
WHEREAS, said Zoning Ordinance, as recommended and transmitted aforesaid
wae printed ia book or pamPhlet form; and,
WHEREAS, said Corporate Authorities, thereafter, in meetings held in review
thereof, determined on some chan�es thereof; and,
WHEREAS, eaid changee have now been made; and,
WHEREAS, hereto attached is said recommended Zoning Ordinance, modified
as aforesaid and printed in book or pamPhlet form, together with said map which, "
oct. 20�Rev. , 1976; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COtTNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. That the book or pamphlet in priNov� g°rm hereto at1976ed
together with the raap hereto attached, dated
recommended by the Zoning Commission to the Corporate Authoritiee of the City
o� Canton, Illinois and by them modified as aforesaid, be and the same hereby
are adopted, reapectively, as the Zoning Ordi.ne�e�oaattached,npubl�i+shedoasthe
City of Canton, Illa.noie and hereby, in form h
such.
SECTION 2. That said Ordinance and map raay be referred to, respectively,
as "The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Canton, I1linois" and, "The Zoning Map
of the City of Canton, Illinois".
SECTION 3• That any former Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of this City
be, and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 4. That the Zoaing Ordinance, hereby enacted be codified under
Title 10 of the Canton Municipal Code.
That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten day$rovalrbits
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and app Y
the Mayor thereof.
