(AN ORD]NANCE ESTABLISHING A CATEGORY OF LIQUOR LTCF�iSE DESIQVATED
"BOWLING ALLEY LICENSE")
BE IT ORDAINED by th Cii:y Council of the City of Canton, Illinois :
Section 1. That Section 1 (DEFINITIO�VS) of Chapter S (IlVTOXICATING
LIQUORS) of Title 3 (BUSINESS) be, and the same hereby is amended in the
following respects :
There shall be inserted in said Section i between the paragraphs
thereof designated "SUPPER CLUB" and "TAVEI?N" the following paragraph:
"BOWLING ALLEY: The words "bowl�ng alley" mean a place of business
operated for profit whose primary business is to provide the public
a facility for the sport-.of bowling and which has secondary facilities
for food service for on premises consumption and which is licensed
to sell at retail for consumption only on the premises thereof, al-
coholic beverages as an incident to its primary business. The words
"bowling alley license" shall have reference to and mean the license
required under this Chapter for the license of such a business. "
Section 2. That Section 4 (CLASSES OF LICIIVSES) of said Chapter and
Title be, and the same hereby is amended in the following respects :
The following paragraph shall be inserted in said Section 4 immed-
iately after the paragraph thereof beginning '"Class 2, Supper Club
License".
"Class 2 A, Bowling Alley License, which shall authorize the sale of
slcoholic beverages at retail on the specified premises of a bowling ;
�lley for consumption on said premises and in conjunction with the
operation of food service thereon. "
Section 3: That Section 7 (HOURS OF SALE) of said Chapter and
Title be, and the same hereby is amended in the following respects :
The following paragraph shall be inserted in said Sectior� 7
immediately after the paragraph thereof beginning "Class 2, Stipper Club
License" : '
"Class 2 A, Bowling Alley License. Six o ' clock (6 :00) A.M. to
one o 'clock (1 :00) A.M. on each �veekday and from twelve (12:00)
noon to ten o 'clock (10 :00) P.M. on each Sunday.
Section 4: That Section 8 (LICFNSE FEE) of said Chapter and Title
be, and the same hereby is ameqded in the following respects :
That sub-paragraph (B) of said Section 8 be and the same hereby is
amended to read as follows :
"(B) the annual license for each of Class 2, Supper Club License
and Class 2 A, Bowling Alley License shall be One Thousa�d Dollars
(�1,000.00) . "
Section 5 : That this Ordinance shall l�e in full force and effect
upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
