(An Ordinance providing � procedure for the determination of the nature
ar�d sufficiency of bond� to be submitted �,ra_th final ;nlats of subdivisions)
Be it ordr�ined by the City Council of the City of Canton, I1linois
as follows :
Secti�n 1. That section ? of Chapter 1 (DEFINITIONS : GINENAL
PROVISIONS) of Title 11 (SUBDIVISIONS) of thP Canton Muni�ipal Code be,
and the same hereby is amended to read as follow� :
"11-1-7 : ENGINEER: The Prelimirary anc? Final Pl.t�t and the data
required by these re�ulation� Ghall be �nrepareci by � qualified en�ineer
who shall also make ar. estimate of the probable exgenditures necessary
to enable the per�on �eeking the Council_ ' s ap;�roval of �uch map, p1Rt
or subdivision to conform with the standards of constru�tion esfablished
in this Title. Each Person who seeks the Counczl ' s ap�roval of mnp,
plat or subdivision sha11 at the time of the �iling with the P� at Off?_cer
�f the Fanal Flat, post a �ood and sufficient bon� with the C�erk, ir�
a penal sum cufficient to cover such e5tim�te of expenditures made by ���
estimatin� engineer. The bond shall b� conditioned u�on the faithful
adherence to the rules and regulat?�ns promulgated herein.
"The �ufficiency of the bond sh�ll, in ench instance, be specially
determa.ned by the Council at a .regular meeting thereof and sh�ll by
the Council_ be directed, cot�ditioned, �r.d �pproved, accordin� to ttle
cir�umst�nces in each instance, as to amount, form, �i�ture and the
�ixfficiency and character af surety. "
Sectiar 2. That this Ordinance shall be in f��.11 force �nd ef#'ect
upon its passa�e fiy tl�e City Cou�cil �tnr� �p�roval of the Idi�yor. .
