RESOLUTION NO. 3490
A RESOLUTION COMMITTING- LOCAL FUNIIS FOR A COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CDAP) PUBLIC FACILITIES
APPLICATION. (WATER MAIN. RUNNING_ FROM T$U WATER
TREATMEAIT PLANT TO-THE CITY OF CANTON.)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has taken action to submit
an Illinois Community Development Assistance Program (CDAP) pubfic facilities
application, and;
WHEREAS} receipt of CDAP grant assistance is essential. to allow the City of Canton to
undertake the project to replace the water main running from the water treatment plant to
the City of Canton, and;
WHEREAS, criteria of CDAP aze such that financial participation by the grant is
required in conjunction with CDAP funds, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has certain monies allocated for the above-referenced
project with the issuance of GO Bonds in the amount of $2,194,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Canton does hereby
commit funds for use in conjunction with an Illinois Community Development Assistance
Program grant, such funds to equal 85% of the estimated total project cost of
$2,594,000.00 or $2,194,000.00.
PASSED by the City Council of the-City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular
meeting this 21st day of September 1999 upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES; Aldermen Molleck, Hartford, Sarff, Nic°~.iffer, Meade, Shores,
May.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Phillips .
