A RESOLUTION NAMING DEPOT ROAD
WHEREAS, there is an improved street on the west side of the renovated depot,
between East Elm Street and East Chestnut Street in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, this way, being formally privately owned, has no name or
designation; and,
WHEREAS, the- City of Canton is now the owner of the way and desires to have
it named for the convenience of the public; and,
WHEREAS, it does not appear advisable to dedicate this way as a street rather it
appears desirable for the municipality to give it a name and open it for public travel.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the improved street or way on the west side of the renovated depot
between East Elm Street in the City of Canton be and the same is hereby named Depot
load.
2. That said street or way shall not be a dedicated street or way but shall be open
for general public use subject to rules and regulations for use as directed by the municipal
authprities.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect .immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 17th day of August , 1999.
