RESOLUTION NO. 3479
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LETTER OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CANTON AND MAURER STUTZ, INC., FOR SERVICES RELATED
TO THE STANDPIPE REPAIRS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has reviewed the
terms of said Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has determined that it
is in the best interest of the City of Canton to approve said Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the corporate officers be and they are hereby authorized to enter into a
written Agreement, copy attached as Exhibit A, with Maurer Stutz, Inc. for services
related to the standpipe repairs.
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 20th day of July, 1999, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen May, Shores, Meade, Nidiffer, Phillips, Sarff,
Molleck, Hartford.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None .

The Undersigned orders Maurer-Stutz, Inc., Professional Engineer's and Professional
Land Surveyors of the State of Illinois, to perform the following services related to the
Standpipe Repairs in the City of Canton:
- Prepare contract documents suitable for bidding; bidding and letting assistance
including attendance at pre-bid meeting and evaluation of bids; field evaluation of
anchor bolts and overflow pilaster condition, evaluation of pay requests, and
coordination between the contractor and the City as may be required. Note that
this work does not include any time in the event total repainting of the standpipe
or tower is required.
When such services have been performed, the undersigned agrees to pay the estimated
cost of approximately $7,500.00 which is based on actual time expended at the rates
shown on the attached schedule. Billing will be monthly. We would expect our services
to begin immediately and be completed by December 15, 1999.
