A RESOLUTION GRANTING A ONE TIME BONUS TO POLICE CHIEF J.
MICHAEL ELAM FOR PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel Committee has determined
to grant a one time bonus to Police Chief J. Michael Elam for the additional
responsibilities of Public Safety Director. Said bonus is based upon 12% of the fire chief s
salary; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That Police Chief J. Michael Elam be granted a one time bonus of $6,000.00
for the additional responsibilities of Public Safety Director.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor
thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and
approved by the Mayor thereof this 18 day of May, 1999.
