Motion and second were made by Aldermen Jim Nelson/Pickel to send the police report to Council for consideration. The motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous FIRE REPORT A copy of the fire report was distributed for review and is on file in the Clerk's office. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Jim Nelson/Lovell to send the fire report to Council for consideration. The motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous. The Public Safety&Traffic Committee adjourned at 6:33pm. STREETS& GARBAGE ALDERMAN DAVE PICKEL, CHA/RMAN There were no items for discussion under the Streets & Garbage Committee. The Streets and Garbage Committee adjourned at 6:33pm. LAKE, BUILDINGS& GROUNDS ALDERMAN JOHN LOVELL, CHA/RMAN APPIICATION FOR PAYMENT NO 7 FOR TRUE VALUE GARDEN CENTER IMPROVEMENTS FROM OTTO BAUM COMPANY INC FOR$4,339.70. The work on the loading dock hand rail located at the True Value Garden Center took place in December; however the invoice was just received. The final pay request will be made in the spring with all of the funds being paid from the TIF 1 funds. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Lovell/Ellis to approve the payment No 7 for True Value Garden Center Improvements from Otto Baum Company Inc in the amount of $4339.70 from the TIF 1 funds. The motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous This item will be placed on the consent agenda for the March 4th Council agenda. The Lake, Building & Grounds Committee adjourned at 6:36 pm. PUBLIC WORKS, WATER&SEWER ALDERMAN GERALD ELLIS, CHAIRMAN CHANGE ORDER NO 1 FOR THE WWTP EAST PLANT PUMP IMPROVEMENTS FROM LEANDER CONSTRUCTION INC. During construction the east side plant supervisor was looking for a way to take the waste straight to the pump station. As a result this project will replace a line to divert the waste to that location. This is a bond related project in the amount of$16,860.29. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Ellis/Jim Nelson to send to Council for consideration Motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT NO 2 FOR WWTP EAST PLANT PUMP IMPROVEMENTS FROM LEANDER CONSTRUCTION INC FOR$32,001.41 Motion and second were made by Aldermen Ellis/1im Nelson to send to Council for consideration from the bond funds in the amount of$32,001.41. The motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous. This item will be placed on the consent agenda for the March 4th Council meeting. DRAINAGE ISSUE AT 4T"AND CYPRESS City Engineer Keith Plavec explained that a home owner called the City explaining that they had water coming up around their home near 4th Avenue and Cypress. The fields (formerly the golf course) drain to this area. The City has worked with developers and one of the biggest issues that always come up was regarding the drainage. There is no easy solution to this. This is not only a City issue but also a County/Township issue. All three will need to work together to come up to a solution. Leonard Barnard explained that the homeowner has a problem and he is not sure what the solution would be, but admits there is definitely a problem. City Engineer Keith Plavec explained that the City will need to complete a survey and come back with some possible options, which might include crossing under the railroad track. Keith Plavec will bring additional information back in a month. The Public Works, Water& Sewer Committee adjourned at 6:58pm. ADJOURNMENT Motion and second were made by Aldermen Ellis/Lovell to adjourn into executive session for the purpose of Negotiations (151LCS 120/2 (C ) (2) There will be no action taken after executive session.
