RESOLUTION NO. 3551
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RETENTION OF ENGINEERING SERVICES
AND SEEKING BIDS FOR WATER METER REPLACEMENT IN THE CITY
OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS the City of Canton has determined that it needs to provide new and
different water meters for consumers in the city water system, and
WHEREAS it is necessary that the city seek bids for said water meter acquisition
and replacement, and,
WHEREAS the services of professional engineers will be required to carry out
the project; and,
WHEREAS Maurer-Stutz, Inc. has presented the city with a proposed agreement
for engineering services for an approximate fee of $3,000 and the same having been
examined and approved by the city attorney,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois that the City of Canton advertise for
bids for the water meter replacement project; and,
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Canton enter into the proposed
written contract to retain the services of Maurer-Stutz, Inc., professional engineers for
professional services in connection with the project; and,
That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Canton, Illinois are hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver said Contract on behalf of the City of Canton.
That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the
City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.

meeting this 5th day of December , 2000, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Hartford, Sarff, Phillips, Nidiffer, Meade,
