A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A LOADING ZONE AT 101 EAST ELM
STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Canton City Code provides for a designation of a zone for the
loading and unloading of passengers; and,
WHEREAS, the operators of a restaurant located in the Burketta Building at 101
East Elm Street have requested that a loading zone be designated on East Elm Street in
the first parking space East of First Avenue on the North side of East Elm Street; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that the zone for loading would be needed from 4:00
o'clock P.M. unti110:00 o'clock P.M.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council may provide for limited time for use as a loading
zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the first full parking space contiguous to 101 East Elm Street, Canton,
Illinois being East of First Avenue on the North side of East Elm Street be and the same
is hereby designated as a loading zone for the loading and unloading of passengers from
the hour of 4:00 o'clock P.M. until 10:00 o'clock P.M. daily. At all other times regular
parking shall be permitted in said space.
2. That the Street Superintendent shall provide sign in accordance with this
resolution. Any further signage must be provided by the restaurant owner after approval
by the Street Superintendent.
3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 6th day of Jae , 2000, upon a roll call vote as
follows:

NAYS: None .
