RESOLUTION ~
WHEREAS, the City of Canton was notified on May 30, 2013, of an Appeal taken by Wai-
Marf Realty Company # 1713, P.O. Box 8050, Bentonville, AR, 72712, that Wal-Mart has filed an
Appeal with the determination made by the Fulton County Board of Review on May 30, 2013,
and;
WHEREAS, the Appeal involves the property located at 2071 North Main, Canton, Illinois,
and is identified as PIN #09-08-15-204-007, and;
WHEREAS, the Ci1y of Canton wishes to intervene in this Appeal to present evidence as to
the value of the property, all of which will effect the tax revenve received by the City of Canton,
and;
WHEREAS, by this Resolution, the City of Canton wishes to instruct its interim attorney,
Bruce C. Beal, and the firm of Claudon, Kost, Beal, Walters 8~ Lane, Ltd., to intervene on its behalf
with the State Property Tax Appeal Board and to submit additional evidence therewith.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That Attorney Bruce C. Beal, and the firm of Claudon, Kost, Beal, Walters 8~ Lane,
Ltd., are instructed to file an intervening request on behalf of the City to the State
Property Tax Appeal Board and the Fulton County Board of Review to intervene
on behalf of the City for the Appeal taken by Wal-Mart Realty Company # 1713
for the property that they own located at 2071 North Mcrin Street, Canton, Illinois,
61520, and identified as Fvlton County PIN #09-OS-15-204-007.
2. That with the request to intervene, Attorney Bruce C. Beal, and the firm of
Claudon, Kost, Beal, Walters ~ Lane, Ltd., are instructed to request an extension
of time to submit additional evidence in accordance with Section 1910.60 of the
Illinois Administrative Code.
3. That the Canton City Clerk is hereby instructed to cerfify a copy of this Resolution
for submission along with the reqvest to intervene certifying the authenticity of
the Resolution and the instruction to counsel for the City to intervene on its behalf.
