An Ordinance approving the Amended Plat for Golf View Villas -Section One.
WHEREAS, on September 18, 2007, the City Council of the City of Canton unanimously
approved the final plat of the first phase of Golf View Villas Planned Unit Development;
WHEREAS, the plat of Golf View Villas -Section One, dated September 14, 2007, was
recorded on September 24, 2007, as Document No. 0715437, Slide 400, in the Office of the Recorder
of Fulton County, Illinois;
WHEREAS, Golf View Villas' Covenants, Rules and Restrictions Governing Use, dated
September 21, 2007 was recorded September 24, 2007, as Document 0715438 in the Office of the
Recorder of Fulton County;
WHEREAS, Canton Country Club Real Estate, LLC submitted to the Planning and Zoning
Commission an Amended Final Plat of Golf View Villas -Section One, proposing to amend the
Final Plat to provide the following side yard setbacks: 15'/0' for shared-wall single-family dwellings
and 10'/10' for non-shared-wall single-family dwellings.
WHEREAS, on January 28, 2008, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Canton met, pursuant to notice as required bylaw, and held a public hearing concerning the Canton
Country Club Real Estate, LLC's request to amend the Final Plat, and, at the meeting, no objectors
were present and no objections to the request were voiced, and, after said hearing, the Planning and
Zoning Commission unanimously recommended to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois,
that it accept the Amended Final Plat as proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION:
That the Amended Final Plat of Golf View Villas -Section One, as amended and
dated December 20, 2007, shall be and the same hereby is approved.
2. That a copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the appropriate authorities of the
County of Fulton and State of Illinois, to reflect the City's approval of the Amended Final Plat of
Golf View Villas -Section One.
3. That the Mayor of the City of Canton, Illinois, shall be and he is hereby authorized to
affix his signature as the Mayor of said City to this Ordinance and the City Clerk of the City of
Canton, Illinois, shall be and she is hereby authorized to attest such signature thereto.
Passed by a vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, this20~day of February,
2008, by a vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays, with 1 Aldermen absent.
