A regular meeting of the Canton Fire and Police Commission was held on April 11, 2013. The
meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m. by Commissioner Jump.
Present: Commissioner Harold Jump
Commissioner Samantha Norton
A Motion was made by Commissioner Norton seconded by Commissioner Jump to accept the
minutes of the March 14 meeting. All Ayes, motion carried.
A Motion was made by Commissioner Jump seconded by Commissioner Norton to accept the
March budget. All Ayes, motion carried.
Training certificates: none
Old Business
Probationary Employees: Officers LaHood and Shippert graduated from the police academy
and are on shift now with a Field Officer.
Bills: There were no bills.
Testing Cycles: Regarding the Fire Initial, the final list was posted.
Regarding the Fire Lt. Promotional, the list combining orals, merit, and seniority is prepared and
will be distributed.
New Business: None
Having no other business, a Motion was made by Commissioner Jump seconded by
Commissioner Norton to adjourn the meeting. All Ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at
1:09 p.m.
