AN RESOLUTION TO DISCONTINUE APPOINTIVE POSITION OF
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the duties of administrative assistant to the Mayor
could be more appropriately be assumed by the Mayor, by the various department heads and by the
new part time position of budget administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
1. The position of administrative assistant to the Mayor is discontinued.
2. The duties of administrative assistant shall be assumed by the Mayor or assigned to
the appropriate department heads.
3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton and approved by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular
meeting this lstday of May, 2001, upon a roll call vote as follows:
