A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS FOR HISTORIC
DEPOT PARKING LOT REPAIRS
WHEREAS, the City of Canton advertised for bids to repair the parking lot at the
historic depot; and,
WHEREAS, only one bid was received: to-wit, that of United Paving &
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $35,515.00; and,
WHEREAS, this bid was lower than the City's budget for the project; and,
WHEREAS, the City's engineers Maurer Stutz, Inc. has recommended awarding
the contract to United Paving & Construction, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the bids for the Historic Depot parking lot repairs by United Paving &
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $35,515.00 be accepted. TIF District 4B funds shall
be utilized for this project.
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor
thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular
meeting this 20"' day of March, 2001, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Alderman Molleck, Hartford, Sarl~ Phillips, Nidiffer, Meade, Shore, May.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
