A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE DOLLAR LIMIT ON
PURCHASE ORDERS.
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of the City of Canton has determined that it
is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to increase the dollar limit on
purchase orders; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Department Heads are authorized to make purchases up to the
amount of $500. without authorization from the Mayor or City Council.
2. That the Mayor or his designee shall authorize the purchases over $500.
not to exceed $1000.
3. That purchases over $1000. shall be approved by the City Council.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 17thday of September , 2002 upon a roll call vote
as follows:
AYES: Aldermen. Fillingh~n, Shores, Meade, Carl, West, Sarff, Hart-
ford, Molleck.
NAYS: None .
ABSENT: None .
