A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RETIREMENT OF GARY ORWIG
WHEREAS, Gary Orwig has advised that he wishes to retire December 27, 2002
and since he has accumulated certain sick days, personal days and vacation days he has
requested that he be paid for the accumulated days in advance of his retirement date as
opposed to taking a lump sum check upon retirement. Mr. Orwig has further requested
that amounts due him be paid in weekly checks beginning September 6, 2002.
WHEREAS, Mr. Orwig has not achieved twenty (20) years of service and is not
eligible for the Early Retirement Incentive Program
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITX OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That the retirement of Gary Orwig on December 27, 2002 be approved
and further the payment of his accrued days for sickness, personal or
vacation be on a weekly basis beginning September 6, 2002.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by the Cit Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this ~rd day of September, 2002.

NAYS: None .
ABSENT: Alderman Meade .
