A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIFIC SALARY FOR THE POLICE
CHIEF OF THE CITY OF CANTON
WHEREAS, the Mayor with consent of the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois has appointed a New Police Chief and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
set a specific salary for the newly appointed Police Chief of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Canton, Illinois has reviewed the
proposed salary for said Police Chief of the City of Canton said salary being $61,000;
and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the salary for the Police Chief of the City of Canton, Illinois, said
salary being $61,000 hereby approved. Said salary is to be effective as of
and retroactive to and inclusive of the date of June 8, 2002. Further, that
said salary is in addition to other emoluments and entitlements normally
and customarily extended to each such employee.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 4th day of Jtme , 2002 upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen. Filling~am, Shores, Meade, Carl, West, Sarff, Hart-
ford, Molleck.
NAYS: None .
ABSENT: None.
