HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #3620RESOLUTION NO. 3620 A RESOLUTION TO RESCIND RESOLUTION NO 3570 PASSED APRIL 17, 2001, AND TO PROVIDE FOR LONGEVITY PAY FOR DONALD F. EDWARDS WHEREAS, Officers of the Police and Fire Departments are eligible for a longevity step after 20 years of service, and upon written notice may be moved to the last longevity step. Such employee shall be entitled to receive the salary provided in such step for a maximum of thirty days. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Canton to make a similar provision for the incumbent Police Chief; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows: 1. Donald F. Edwards upon written notice to the Mayor shall receive the $7500.00 longevity step for a period of 30 day. If, however, he is still employed after the 30 days, his salary will revert to his previous salary. 2. This is exclusive of all other pay raises, such as annual percentage raises. 3. That Resolution # 3570 be and the same hereby is rescinded. 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 4th day of June , 2002 upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Alder~z Fillinharn, PZeade, Carl, West, Sarff, Hartford, Molleck.
