A R~SOLUTION APPROVING THE RELEASE OF PROMISSORY NOTE AND MORTGAGE FOR
DONETA J. MCCLOSKEY AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID RELEASE.
WHEREAS, the City of Canton formally entered into a real estate mortgage with Doneta J. McCloskey
on or about January 21, 1983, in the amount of$1 l,630.00 as part of a rehabilitation program funded through
the Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, after examining information from the City's building inspector regarding potential building
code violations and discussion of information presented by the City Attorney as to the history of this particular
property, the legal and ordinance committee has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Canton to
release the mortgage ofDoneta J. McCloskey; and
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
l. That the Release and Promissory Note and Mortgage, attached hereto and incorporated herein as
Exhibit A, between the City of Canton and Doneta J. McCloskey is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and record said Release
on behalf of the City of Canton, lllinois.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton at a regular meeting this 16'h day of October, 2012, upon a
roll call vote as follows:

RELEASE OF PROMISSORY NOTE AND MORTGAGE
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the undersigned, CITY OF CANTON,
an Illinois municipal corporation, of 2 North Main Street, Canton, Illinois 61520, does hereby
certify that a certain Promissory Note and Home Repair Mortgage executed by DONETA J.
MCCLOSKEY, individually, dated .Ianuary 21, 1983, and recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois on .1ailuaiy 27, 1983 as Docllment Number 83-758 in Book
920, Page 283, and in Book 920, Page 279, respectively, pursuant to a Deferred Payment Loan
from the City of Canton in the sum of eleven thousand six hundred thirty dollars ($11,630.00)
has been fully satisfied and the same are hereby released and discharged. Said property is
described as follows:
Fifty (50) feet of even width running North and South the length of the Lot off the
West side of Lot Number One (1) in the Board of Education's Sub-Division of
Lots Number One Hundred Eighteen (118), One Hundred Nineteen (119) and One
Hundred Twenty (120) of Swan's Addition to the Original Town (now City) of
Canton, Fulton, County, Illinois.
