HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1718ORDINANCE NO. 1718 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has determined that the personal property hereinafter described is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the City of Canton to retain the following described personal property now owned by the City; and, 1986 Ford E350/Horton Ambulance; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows: 1. The foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as findings of the Canton City Council. 2. Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 ILCS 5/11- 76-4, the Canton City Council find that the 1986 Ford Ambulance owned by the City of Canton, is no longer necessary or useful to the City of Canton and the best interest of the City of Canton will be served by its sale. 3. That public notice of the foregoing proposed sale and advertisement for bids for the described property shall be as by law made and provided to include bids of cash, in-kind services, materials, or equipment. 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approved by the Mayor thereof. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 18thday of December , 2001, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Filling~am, Shores, Meade, West: Sarff, Hartford.
