HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1716 ORDINANCE NO. 1716 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR FIRE PREVENTION PERMIT FEES FOR THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, the City of Canton adopted the International Building Codes, but did not establish permit fees and to establish the range of fees the City of Canton adopts this ordinance; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FLTLTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The fire department shall issue permits pursuant to the International Fire Code, 2000 edition and as hereafter amended from time to time, hereafter called "code." The fee shall be paid to the City Treasurer. No permit is valid until the applicable fee, if any, is paid in full. 2. Fees for each permit would cost $25.00 with a maximum charge of $100.00 even if more than four (4) permits are needed. Code Cate~orv Ref. Section 103.2 of the Fire Prevention Code shall be, and the same hereby is, amended by deleting the words "building code ofliicial" therefrom, and inserting in their place the words "fire prevention code official." 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and in effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof. PASSED: by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 4th day of December , 2001, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Hartford, Sarff, West, Meade, Shores, Fillingham.
