ORDINANCE NO. 1711
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A 15-MINUTE PARKING SPACE FOR THE
CANTON NEWS STAND ON EAST ELM STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Canton established that the first parking space at the
Southeast corner of East Elm Street and White Court will be a 15 minute parking space;
and,
WHEREAS, the space is designed to accommodate the customers of the Canton
News Stand; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. The forgoing recitals of fact are correct.
2. That any person accused of a violation of an ordinance restricting the length
of time a vehicle may be parked there shall be penalized by a fine of five
dollars ($5.00) for each offense.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effective ten (10) days after is
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as provided
by law.
PASSED by the City council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this ~~ day of Nav~mhPr , 2001, upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen FillinghaQn, Shores, Meade, `Test, Sarff, Hartford,
