HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2083 ORDINANCE NO 2083 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR NO PARKING ON ENTERPRISE DRIVE IN THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the citizens of Canton, Illinois, to prohibit all parking on Enterprise Drive in the City of Canton, Illinois; and WHEREAS, the City Council has made a similar determination. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows: 1. That no parking signs shall be placed on the east and west side of Enterprise Drive and that every driver of a motor vehicle will refrain from parking any vehicle under his or her control in said area. 2. That any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction or plea, be subject to a fine of not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each such offense. 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication as provided by law. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting this 1 St day of May 2012, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen Pasley, Fritz, West, Nelson, Ellis, Pickel, Hartford NAYS: ABSENT: Alderman Schenck APPROVED: Kevin R.
