A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR POSITIONS WITHIN THE CITY
OF CANTON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY, 2012
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, acting through its Mayor with the concurrence of the City
Council determines the annual salaries to be paid to City employment positions not provided for under
a collective bargaining agreement, and
WHEREAS, the fiscal year beginning May, 2011 expired Apri130, 2012 and it is necessary to
establish rates for the ensuing fiscal year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, as
follows:
1. That the rates of compensation for the fiscal year beginning May 2012 for the various positions
of department head, superintendent, full-time appointive employee, part-time appointive
employee and any and all positions referenced in Exhibit A(attached hereto and incorporated
herein as Exhibit A), are to be effective as of and retroactive to and inclusive of the date of May
1, 2012. Said salaries are in addition to other entitlements normally and customarily extended
to each such position.
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approved by the Mayor thereof this 1 S`
day of May 2012, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Pickel, Hartford, West, Ellis
NAYS: Aldermen Pasley, Fritz, Ellis
ABSENT: Alderman Schenck
