ORDINANCE 2 OF 3 ORDINANCE NO. ~b~ CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS DESIGNATING THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA for the CANTON 2 - RT. 9/CHESTNUT STREET TIF DISTRICT WHEREAS, the ~ty Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, has heretofore in Ordinance No. adopted and approved the Redevelopment Plan and Redevelopment Projects with respect to which a Public Meeting was held on September 14, 2010 and a Public Hearing was held on November 8, 2011, and it is now necessary and desirable to designate the area referred to in said plan as Redevelopment Project Area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE MAYORAND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that the area described in Exhibit A (Boundary Map) and Exhibit B (Legal Description) attached to and made a part hereof is hereby designated as the Canton 2 - Rt. 9/Chestnut Street Tax Increment Financing District Redevelopment Project Area ("Canton 2 - Rt. 9/Chestnut St. TIF District") pursuant to Section 11- 74.4-4 (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-4) of the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
